AREA OPERATOR (Multi-Salon Manager)

Objective: This person will participate, coordinate and oversee the daily
activities required to operate 2 or more indoor tanning centers. This person will
be responsible for meeting and exceeding growth goals by hiring, training, motivating
and maintaining the necessary sales staff. Focuses will be on Customer Service,
Operational Standards, Building the Business, Team Development and Operational Budget.
This person will also oversee Marketing activities of these salons in order to generate
customer traffic to meet or exceed sales goals. Relies on extensive experience and
judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years experience
managing a successful team consisting of a minimum of 8 members
- Multi-unit management experience a plus
- Demonstrated ability to lead team members
and motivate them to achieve set goals.
- Excellent computer skills
- Quality communication skills and interpersonal
skills
- Troubleshooting skills to handle multi-tasking
situations

- Excellent knowledge of the tanning process
- Excellent knowledge of retail items (lotions,
retail, shoes)
- Precise knowledge of POS system
- 2 years frontline customer service
- 1 year single salon management experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates critical systems in the salons
using the MAPPS manuals.
- Develops assistant management position
for each salon to maintain day to day customer service operational standards.
- Provides staff development on a regular
basis.
- Supervises and coordinates the activities
of the tanning professionals in multiple locations.
- Plans monthly staff meetings and attend
manager/co-op meetings as required.
- Motivates staff to achieve individual
ppa/lppa goals and salon monthly goals.
- Completes planning, directing, and coordinating
marketing programs.
- Interprets, implements, and enforces
company policies.
- Confers with corporate/owner to identify,
plan and develop methods to obtain greater efficiency, which includes increasing
sales, operational functions, and corporate regulations.
- Collection accounts and corporate financial
reporting monitored and submitted in timely and accurate manner.
- POS system monitored and maintained for
accurate customer activity.
- Plans, budgets and executes monthly P&L
numbers for all locations assigned.
- Prepares and submits various management
reports as required by corporate/owner.
- Reviews tanning circulars and bulletins
to keep current on changes in the industry.

owner or corporate personnel.
